January 2012 was an average January. That means nice weather, just 4 days with some rain during the day and no wet days, and just 2 overcast days.
At the beginning of the month we had some days with a moderate or strong wind, but in general there was a slight, refreshing breeze, so excellent for diving.
Diving at our housereef here in Kata was possible except for two days, because those days visibility was almost zero after rain the night before. Also Richelieu Rock, North of the Similans, could not be reached on one day. The other divesites were available every day.
